• Contact data: email address, and any name, city, or profile details you give us.
• Account and authentication data: your account identifier, sign-in timestamps, and membership tier. Authentication is handled by Supabase; we never see or store plaintext passwords.
• Payment data: subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Stripe receives your card details directly; we store only a customer/subscription identifier, the plan, and the status of your billing.
• Content you submit: replies, comments, poll answers, RSVPs, messages to the editors, contact and sponsorship inquiries, and waitlist entries.
• Usage and device data: pages viewed, links and buttons clicked, referring URL and UTM parameters, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type, and timestamps. We log these to our own database and, with your consent, to analytics providers.
• Email engagement data: whether an email was delivered, opened, or clicked, reported by our email provider.
• Cookies and local storage: identifiers that keep you signed in, remember your cookie choices, and — with consent — measure readership and support advertising.

Where the GDPR applies, we rely on: performance of a contract (accounts, memberships, delivering content you requested); consent (marketing email, analytics and advertising cookies — withdrawable at any time); legitimate interests (site security, fraud prevention, basic measurement, and defending legal claims); and legal obligation (tax and accounting records).

We do not sell your personal information for money. We share it with service providers who process it on our behalf:

• Supabase — hosting, database, authentication, and file storage
• Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing
• Resend — newsletter and transactional email delivery and engagement reporting
• Google (Analytics 4, Google Ads/AdSense) and Mediavine — measurement and advertising on free pages, loaded only after you consent
• Anthropic and Google AI models — used to help draft and structure editorial and opportunity content; Coffee Break profile answers may be processed to generate your shortlist
• Shopify — where a product or partner catalog is surfaced
• Legal and safety — where required by law or to protect our rights, users, or property
• Business transfers — as part of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets

Advertising partners may use cookies and device identifiers to show interest-based ads. Under California law that activity can count as “sharing” personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising; you can turn it off using the controls below.

Essential cookies keep you signed in, secure the site, and remember your privacy choices. Analytics and advertising cookies load only after you accept them in our cookie banner.

You can change your mind at any time — reopen the banner and choose again, or block or delete cookies in your browser settings. Disabling essential cookies will break sign-in.

Wherever you live, you can unsubscribe from any marketing email using the link in its footer, and you can ask us to correct or delete your account.

California residents (CCPA/CPRA) have the right to know what personal information we collect and how it is used and disclosed, the right to request deletion, the right to correct inaccurate information, the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights. Use the cookie controls above to opt out of sharing, or email us to make a request.

EEA and UK residents (GDPR) have the right to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to processing, to withdraw consent at any time, and to complain to your local supervisory authority.

To exercise any of these rights, email Partner@thehudsonwest.com or use our contact page. We respond within 45 days (CCPA) or one month (GDPR) and may need to verify your identity first. You may use an authorized agent.

We keep account and membership data while your account is active and for up to 24 months afterwards, newsletter records until you unsubscribe plus a suppression record kept indefinitely so we do not email you again, billing records for seven years for tax and accounting purposes, and analytics event data for up to 26 months. We delete or anonymize data once it is no longer needed.

Data is encrypted in transit (HTTPS) and at rest by our hosting platform, access is restricted to people who need it, and database access is governed by row-level security rules. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Hudson West is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 16 (or under 13 in the United States). If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

We are based in the United States and our service providers may process data in the United States and elsewhere. If you use Hudson West from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed there, using appropriate safeguards such as standard contractual clauses where required.

We may update this policy. When changes are material we will revise the effective date below and notify you by email or in the Service. Continued use after changes take effect constitutes acceptance.
