The terms of the house.

Hudson West publishes editorial content, including the Daily Brief newsletter, and offers reader tiers:

• Free Reader — free access to the Daily Brief and free areas of the site and community.
• Coffee Break — $15 per month, recurring. Personalized intelligence, opportunity shortlists, and subscriber-only content.
• Hudson West House — $39 per month, recurring. Membership privileges, city partners, and access to in-person experiences.

We may add, change, or discontinue features. If we materially reduce a paid benefit we will tell paying members in advance.

You must provide accurate information, keep your credentials secure, and are responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 16 years old to create an account. Accounts are personal; do not share paid access.

Coffee Break ($15/month) and Hudson West House ($39/month) are billed on a recurring monthly basis and charged on the same calendar date each month you remain subscribed. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card details.

You may cancel at any time from your account settings or by emailing Partner@thehudsonwest.com. Cancelling stops all future charges.

If you cancel before the end of your current billing period, you receive a prorated refund for the unused portion of that period, calculated from the date of cancellation to the end of the billing cycle. For example, if you are billed on the 1st at $15 and cancel on the 21st, you have used 20 of 30 days and would be refunded approximately $5.

Because the remainder of the period is refunded, access to paid features ends immediately on cancellation rather than at the end of the paid period.

Refunds are issued to the original payment method through Stripe within 5–10 business days.

Not refundable: membership fees for periods already fully used. Tickets and deposits for one-time Hudson West House experiences, such as dinners and in-person gatherings, are non-refundable inside 7 days of the event because of venue and vendor commitments; before then they are refundable in full.

To request a refund, email Partner@thehudsonwest.com with “Refund Request” in the subject line, your account email, and your cancellation date.

If you believe you were charged in error, contact us before initiating a chargeback with your bank. We can usually resolve billing issues directly and faster than a dispute.

Where the Service allows you to post — comments, replies, community rooms, RSVPs — you agree not to post content that is unlawful, harassing, hateful, defamatory, sexually explicit, deceptive, or infringing; not to spam, solicit, or scrape; not to impersonate others or misrepresent affiliation; and not to disclose another member's private information or republish member-only material outside the community.

We may remove content and suspend accounts that breach these rules, at our discretion.

All editorial content, branding, names, logos, photography, layout, and design on the Service are owned by Quinn Ventures LLC / Hudson West or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may read, link to, and share brief excerpts with attribution. You may not reproduce, republish, redistribute, sell, or create derivative works from our content, or use it to train machine-learning models, without our written permission.

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you grant Quinn Ventures LLC a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, and reproduce that content in order to operate and promote the Service, including quoting reader replies in the Daily Brief. We will attribute by first name unless you ask otherwise. You confirm you have the rights to what you post.

The Service links to and embeds third-party material, including partner offers, events, advertising, and opportunity listings. We are not responsible for third-party content, products, or practices, and inclusion is not an endorsement of any outcome.

Hudson West publishes journalism and commentary on work, business, wealth, and culture. It is not legal, financial, tax, medical, or career advice, and no reader relationship of a professional nature is created by using the Service.

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that content is complete or accurate.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Quinn Ventures LLC and its officers, members, and contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred U.S. dollars.

You may stop using the Service and close your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service. If we terminate a paid membership without cause, we will refund the unused portion of your current period.

We may update these terms. When changes are material we will revise the date below and notify members by email or in the Service. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law rules. You and Quinn Ventures LLC agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Harris County, Texas for any dispute arising from these terms or the Service.
